  Before wearing the stone for the first time, it must be purified:
  1. Place the ring in a metal bowl containing a mixture of raw milk, curd, honey, holy water (Gangajal), and Tulsi leaves.
  2. Leave it to soak for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Take the ring out, rinse it with clean water, and wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
  4. Place the ring on a clean cloth and chant the Ketu mantra \(108\) times: “Om Ke Ketve Namaha” (ॐ कें केतवे नमः)
